Campervan....
A few years ago we bought an old Land Rover Dormobile on Gumtree. Since then Dee has been working at it, totally overhauling it and fixing absolutely everything. All the hard work has paid off and it’s very nearly ready so I thought I’d share some photos of it….
I can’t wait to go on our first camping trip in it, although I really need to get my sewing...

Exhibition opening...
On Thursday night we had the opening of our joint exhibition, Land, Sea and Air in Castle Espie. This exhibition is the first time me, my mum and my sister have had an exhibition together. It was a lot of work getting ready for it but it was all worthwhile - so many people turned up for the opening night, we were really chuffed!
We started with a little celebratory glass of...

Needle felting
When everyone was round at my house for our wedding making day we all agreed that it was such a fun day we should definitely meet up again to try our hand at other crafty skills so at the end of August Tineke invited us round to her house to try our hand at needle felting. It was such a treat, her house is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful views of the Mournes.
After a cup of tea, a tasty...

Me on the radio talking about camping!
This morning I was on Radio Ulster trying to convince Good Morning Ulster presenter Joel Taggart that camping is good fun! You can listen for the next seven days here. I’m on at 1hr 21mins in. They didn’t quite believe that we’d gone camping for our honeymoon! I tried my best to convey how much fun camping can be but I don’t think I managed to convince Joel, Sarah, the...

Website redo....
Well after a lots of fiddling with images and pages the shop is all sparkly and new!
Rather than have a separate website and shop I’ve integrated them all into the one site so hopefully it makes much more sense and is easier to navigate. At the moment I only have my cards and notebooks available to buy as I am re photographing all of my prints so you can get a better idea of what they...
Shop...
I’m going to be making a few changes to the shop so apologies if it looks a bit weird over the next few days!

Craft Fest 2012
sorry for the lack of interesting posts lately. I’ve been so busy working at the BBC story fest sessions and getting ready for Craft Fest I haven’t had a chance to get all the lovely posts I’m planning done! I’ll get there next week I promise! This weekend though I’m taking part in Craft Fest at Castle Ward in Strangford. Its the second year I’m doing it and...

Wedding!
Its been a few weeks since the wedding but I’m finally getting round to posting up some pictures. It was an amazing day, so much fun and possiblyone of the only days it didn’t rain in June!
The tables all set ready for tea in the hall.
Paper boats and washi tape flags as place names.
Favours - little jars of homemade Rhubarb and Champagne Chutney, made by me and my mother...

Wedding making....
One of my favourite things lately has been making all the different bits and pieces for the wedding - the dress, the favours and of course the decorations.
Over the Jubilee bank holiday I organised a making day at my house with crafty family members and friends. It was such a great day and we got so much made (so much more than if I’d been making by myself, many hands and all that) The...

Lately....
So as usual I haven’t posted in a quite a while but I have been up lots of stuff so have plenty of photos…
Things finally starting to bloom in the garden and also finally some sunshine in which to enjoy the garden - bench, cushions, book or magazine, radio and either a cup of tea or a cold beer depending on what time of the day it is, is my idea of a rather perfect day!
Every...

All at Sea talk at PRONI
Yesterday I went to a talk at the new Public Records Office building down in the Titanic Quarter. It was a lovely sunny day (if a little cold when the wind blew) so I took some photos on my walk there….
some lovely cherry blossom
a not too wonky looking Albert Clock
The big fish
These trees were outside the odyssey. There’s loads of them, I suspect the really bad winter...

Catch up part two....
I’ve been working on lost of different things recently one of which was making myself a new website. I’ll still have the main longshot press website but I decided I should have a site for my more fine art work as the longshot site is more illustration and design related. So I’ve now got emmamajury.co.uk as well. Its still very much a work in progress but here are a few peeks at...

Catch up part one...
So as usual it’s been a while since I posted anything but I have been storing up lots of photos of things that I’ve been meaning to post but never get round to. But today I’m going to finally sort things out so this might be a bit of a mammoth post! (or two or three!)
First up some titanic related bits and pieces… I know I’m a bit late with this as titanic mania is...

where does all the time go?
Well many apologies for the lack of posts recently, I’ve been working away like crazy over the last few months and I’m afraid the blog has rather fallen by the wayside. Although I haven’t been posting I have been taking pictures as I’ve been working and have quite a stock pile built. I decided that I better get on with it and finally post some of what I’ve been up to...

New printable seed packet....
In order to improve on the various crumpled envelopes I have seeds stored in I though I would make a printable seed packet to do the trick.
Simply print out the image on A4 paper and cut round the edges. Fold the flaps and use glue or doublesided tape to fix in place the bottom and side flap. I’ve left the top flap unglued and simple folded it in but you could fix it with some fancy...

You can now buy my work in the shop and tea rooms up in the Parliament Buildings at Stormont as part of their designer/maker initiative. Myself and three others will have their work on display and for sale in the gift shop for the next six months.

cosy winter blankets....
Okay, so I know there is supposed to be a heatwave this week but I’m having none of it! I have already got myself mentally prepared for the autumn and winter! I have got out my winter boots, got a new winter coat and am stocked up with peat for the fire. So I’m going to ignore what the weather is up to and instead dream of snuggling up in one of these lovely blankets I saw at I Do...

inspiration from the ulster folk and transport...
The other week I took a trip to the Ulster Folk and Transport museum, it must have been about ten years since I have been and I have to say I will be back again! I had forgotten how brilliant it is, so many amazing things to look at. As you can imagine I was particularly taken by all the old packaging and machinery. I will definitely be working on some illustrations inspired by my visit!

Craft Fest Neighbours...
I have been planning to post about the two lovely designer/ makers who’s stalls I was in between at Craft Fest but the past two weeks have been a bit crazy getting ready for another exhibition so I’m afraid I’m only getting round to it now. Sorry!
This year was my first year at Craft Fest so I didn’t really know what to expect and I also didn’t really know any of the...
Another great day down at castleward for craft fest 2011! It’s great seeing so many people out buying handmade and supporting local designers!
It’s on again tomorrow from 10.30 until 5.30 so do head down if you get the chance.
Now I really must get organised and update my online shop! I’ve got lots of new cards and prints that I’ll be putting up very soon so do check...

The lovely Donna at I do Cartwheels is now stocking my work. Its a great shop on High Street in Comber in the same courtyard that houses Grey Goose interiors and tea rooms.

They have a great selection of products from the beautiful restored furniture by Donna herself to belts and wallets by Belfast Puncture and now some of my prints, cards and...

Belfast City Bike Tours
Yesterday I went to the launch of new company Belfast City Bike Tours. The weather was lovely and we were treated to scones and coffee at the Barge down on the Lagan. What more could a girl want? Well actually the icing on the cake was truly the bikes themselves - I was totally smitten by their retro stylings -
Aren’t they great!
The official ribbon cutting ceremony - I’m...
This made my day...
I have lots to do this evening but stopped to have a cup of tea ages ago and have been reading blogs ever since… tut tut! However, I did come across something that totally made my day and has made me get back to creating work pronto!
After a weekend spent reading the lovely blog Junkaholique I came across a link to another lovely blog - Tea for Joy, which has been the main source of my...
Just realised that I posted that the black Market is on the 19th it’s actually this Sunday - the 12th! Apologies for the confusion, hope you all can make it!
